Such things depend on the job you are going for. Firstly there isn't much in way of direct placements for MA English graduates. You can go into the education field with English. With LLB however, if you are doing it from a local university then job prospects are almost non existent, best way to go is legal practice.

A law practitioner can ear anywhere from 25,000Rs to 25 lacs per year (all depends on you), MA English graduates who opt for B.Ed. and go into teaching will earn 10-30 thousand per month in private schools and if you clear the exams for government teaching jobs then you'll be in a better place with about 35,000 to 55,000 Rs. per month as per pay scale and seniority.
