man spends 60% of his income on different items. His income has increased by 15% and his expenditure has also increased by 10%. Find the percentage increase in his savings.

Consider his income to be 100

Now his expenditure is 60

And thus savings is 40

Now after 15% increase in income and 10% increase in expenditure

His income is now 115

And his expenditure is 60x1.10= 66

Thus savings is 49

Now percentage increase is (49-40)/40 x 100 = 22.5%
