Let's talk about BCA first.

For BCA course math is not always mandatory. I'm saying not always because there are some colleges or institutions who prefer students from science stream who had subjects like maths and computer science in their 10 + 2.

Though the eligibility criteria ( in most colleges ) for BCA is as follows :

Pass in 10+2 standard in any stream from a Recognized Board of Education.

A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent.

Now, talking about B.Com :

Maths is not absolutely mandatory for doing B.Com though some B.Com UG programs have maths as compulsory criteria and also knowing maths beforehand, having it in 10 + 2 will help you a lot through the course.
