The Navoday Vidyalaya Samiti conducts the JNVST for admission in the Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya. A total of 51,000 seats are offered to students in different states for admission in class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The expected cut off for various categories for the Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya examination is given in the following section. The marks written are expected cut-off out of 100 marks-

• General - 80-90+

• OBC - 75-80+

• SC - 60-70+

• ST - 58-65+

• Physically Handicapped - 50-60+
