both of them has their own value and basically both of them are same in most of the context PGDM is Post Graduate Diploma in Management. 

and on the other side MBA is Masters in business administration it is a degree , now a days both of them carrying heir own value and both of them are same 

the major difference is that only a university can offer the degree like MBA if any institution is not affiliated from university can not offer degree. so , the institute like IIMs , XLRI , MDI etc. they offer PGDM. 

and both have them same level of job opportunity as well.
