yes, mca students are eligible to apply for gate exams , however candidates who have already passed mca course or in final year of mca course may appear in gate exams, there is no particular age limit is applied to appear in gate, also you may choose the stream as per your interest, since you are from computer science background you may choose computer science to appear in gate.
