The series here is 80, 40, 20, 10, .....

I suppose we need to fill the next empty spot.

If we closely observe the series we will find that every previous number when divided by '2' is equal to the next number.

Eg: 80 when divided by 2 gives 40 which is it's next no.

40 when divided by 2 gives 20 which is it's next no.

20 when divided by 2 gives 10 which is it's next no.

Therefore, when we divide 10 by 2 we will get '5' further when 5 is divided by 2 we get 2.5...and goes on

So, final series is 80, 40, 20, 10, 5, 2.5

This is a question from series. Here in this series number are arranged such that the next number in line is divide by 2.

80÷2 =40

40÷2 = 20

20÷2 = 10

10÷2 =5

Hence the next number in the series will be 5.
