Methylamine can be prepared by Methyl Hydrochloride. You can also go for catalytic preparation of methylamine from methyl alcohol and ammonia. The catalyst here is alluminosilicate while co products include trimethylamine and dimethylamine. This is the industrial preparation method:

CH 3 OH + NH 3 → CH 3 NH 2 + H 2 O
