Joint Entrance Examination – Main, formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination, is an all India examination conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Jee main marks are needed to get admission in any engineering college across the country

Whereas

The MHT-CET or Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra.

It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

The degree courses of the following streams are mainly accounted for in this entrance exam:

Engineering.

B.pharma

Mhcet marks is needed to get admission in any government college in the state of maharashtra

While from jee you can apply for NITS or IITS even from outside the state of maharashtra

As, MHT CET marks are considered for 85% seats and jee marks for 15% all India Quota seats.
