It depends on the college in which you are taking admission.If you are talking about JEE Main then,for the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Minimum percentage depends on colleges so you need to specify the college about which you want the details.
But generally coleges have a minimum criteria of 60-75 % in boards.
So you can search for private colleges on basis of this criteria too

To be eligible to take admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs and GFTIs you should have 75% marks in your boards exams or you should be in top 20 percentile. For SC/ST you should have 65% marks.
