E. coli as you must be knowing is a prokaryotic bacteria. It is the ideal model to study dna replication. You must have studied that the semiconservative replication of DNA was studied using e. coli only. Thus, e.coli replicates it's DNA through semiconservative replication, and the process involves dna fork formation.
