Three cities in Madhya Pradesh is leading the smart city race.

Sagar smart city development in the top 30 smart city development in 2017.Indore was recognised for riverfront development as a key initiative of the city in ABD area. Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has started the riverfront development work of Kahn river under the smart city project. Over the last four years, the ministry has announced winner cities in batches. So far, 99 cities have been selected under the Mission. MP has seven smart cities.
