the mtg books are very good companion for neet exam, but unless you clear the concept in ncerts then going with the mtg books is definitely waste.

so, if you go thoroughly with the mtg books you can able to score 300+.

I even suggest the arihant's for your preparation. but, first go with your plan. No matter how the way was don't quit or stop in the middle. continue your practice with confidence.
