Hello student.

A score of 86 percentage and a percentile is 76 is higher one to get seat in nit or iiit colleges. You have not mentioned any reservations or category. Due to the increasing competition in these days, it is all the more tougher to get into top colleges and universities.

I suggest you to apply for state colleges or any other private institutions. There are pretty many good private institutions where you can apply, write the entrance test and get through.

Here are few good private institutions

1. Ssn college in chennai

2. Amrita institution in coimbatore

3. Psg college of engineering in coimbatore

4, cbit college in Hyderabad

5. Vasavi college

6. Sastra deemed to be a university in thanjavur
