Since your annual session is in 2015 and your result date is in January 2016, your year of passing would typically be considered as 2016. It is usually 2015-2016 session so your passing year would be 2016 only. You can fill it as 2016 but I would advice you to consult with your peers once

As you got result in January 2016 , your year of passing will be considered 2016 but you must enter the year of passing which is written on your class x mark sheet .

After getting mark sheet , the candidate is considered or declared as Pass .

So the year of result will be the year of passing.
