See if you are in general category then you won't be eligible for CAT exam and also many private colleges whose min % criteria in all academic degrees is 50% for general category and 45% for SC, ST category.

If you are eligible then also aim for a very high percentile because with your average academic profile you won't be able to get a very good college for doing MBA with only 90 percentile.

So please confirm your eligibility before going for any exam and if yes then work very hard with an aim of a very high percentile then only you will be able to get a good college.

You have an average academic record and to get into top premier B schools like Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Bangalore Calcutta, Lucknow Kozhikode and , FMS, XLRI and many others private colleges you need to get at least 99 percentile. even to get into new Institute of Management you need to get at least 95 percentile for Indian Institute of Technology. if you manage to get above 90% tile then you have a good chance of getting a call for interview except IIT Bombay which again require 97 percentile minimum and in order to have a high probability of getting silly did you should aim for 95 percentile and of course you can get a call from NIT with 80 percentile but I will not recommend you to go and it as they are no good enough in the MBA field both in terms of studies and placements rather than you can prefer some other private colleges which are better in both ways so am at least 90% in order to have a good chance of getting in IIT. all the best.
