Baniya community includes Agarwals, Oswals , and many more subgroups. Baniya caste is neither under obc nor in SC/ST. They are grouped under General. But some states have provided them reservations.
It should be noted that a caste may be classified as reserved on the basis of population in that state. So some states like Chhattisgarh have kept Baniyas in the reserved category.
