Hello,
If your daughter has secured 90% overall but has a compartment (compliment) in Mathematics, her eligibility for B.Tech admission depends on the specific university’s or college’s rules. Most engineering colleges require a pass in Mathematics at Class 12 level as a mandatory subject. However, if she clears her compartment exam before the admission cut-off date, she will be considered for counseling and seat allotment. Many private universities and deemed institutions conduct admissions until August, so she can still apply if her result is updated in time. Colleges like Lovely Professional University, SRM University, and Amity University often accept applications until late July or early August, depending on seat availability. Government colleges, however, may have stricter deadlines tied to centralized counseling like JEE Main or state CETs. My advice is to prepare for the compartment exam immediately and also apply to colleges that allow provisional admission, which can be confirmed after passing Mathematics.
Thank you and my best wishes to your daughter’s bright future.
