National Defence Academy (NDA) is a national-level exam conducted twice a year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). 12th appearing students can give examination for NDA. For NDA, student must have physics, chemistry and maths as subject in 12th. NDA examination is conducted by UPSC. Students appearing in 12th are also eligible.

For the NDA (I) 2022 exam, the candidates who are born not before 2nd July 2003 and not after 1st July, 2006 are eligible. For the NDA (II) 2022 exam, the candidates born between 2nd January 2004 and 1st January 2007 are eligible.

The NDA age limit is that the aspirant must be in the age range 16.5 to 19.5 years. For NDA 1 2022, the candidate must be born in the range July 2, 2005, to July 1, 2002. As you are born in 1st January 2002 you aren't eligible for the NDA 1 examination 2022.
