- I suggest you should rectify your documents as soon as possible.

- Because at some point it will cause a problem like during documents verification.

- If you still want to go with the affidavit, try mailing JoSSA regarding your issue.

- They may allow some documents for such matters, or may be not.

Hello aspirant,

As your father name is different in 12th marksheet and in your caste certificate, it would surely create problem in JoSAA counselling.

You have to rectify your caste certificate as soon as possible, till then you can give a affidavit regarding the issue when asked for.

What about you other documents like your 10th marksheet, birth certificate and aadhaar card, is the same mistake in all your documents?

If not then affidavit may work or if the same mistake is on all your documents the chances of your rejection is more rest upto the council authorities.
