In general all the counselling procedures for engineering branches are done on the basis of the (+2) marks but only the PCM subjects and not the languages . so , i suppose they might allow your friend for counselling but he need to pass the sanskrit exam on or before august of this year . Actually, they may not allow for counselling. Call the university to find out. As far as I see, they may consider as it is sanskrit provided that friend clears it by August. So please call and find out and then proceed
