If WRE means Water Resources Engineering then here is the answer.
Definitely You can get WRE in top NITs as well as new IITs. Since Water Resources Engineering is less popular branch for M.Tech.. generally every year lowest cutoff in GATE CE goes to this branch for any Institute.
So there are chances that you can easily get new IITs as well as NITs.
It also depends upon number of candidates opt for counseling for M.Tech. in IITs and CCMT 2018.
