Yes you can get admission in Thappar Institute for Engineering and Technology on the basis of your rank but you have to appear for all the rounds of counselling, Because it depends on the no. Of seats remaining in every branch.
But till last round you can easily get most of the branches.

Definitely you will get seat in TIET with that rank. You can check opening and closing ranks for various courses through JEE Main - 2017 in that institute. If you are from punjab you will get almost all the branches, but if you are from outside punjab you have to compromise with the branch

Hello,
Based on your jee mains 2018 rank you have low chances of getting NITs or IIITs.However it is expected that you will get admission in top private colleges through state counselling on the basis of jee mains rank.
