First of all let me congratulate you for having this much range of score in the JEE mains entrance exam and yaah definitely having a this much range of score is good enough to secure the top most department at NITs or if you have the good radar of score in JEE Advance then in IIT as well. Coming to the point of your rank it can't be predictable now because for that the authorities will going to declare it after the conduction of JEE mains April session.

A score of 284 in jee mains is a good score and you will definitely be able to find admission in some good NITs. The official rank list will be released by NTA in April after the jee mains exam is taken both in January and April.
