Yes, a discrepancy in your mother's surname between your board result and her documents can potentially create issues during counseling.

Here's what you can do to address this:

  1. Affidavit: Prepare an affidavit stating the discrepancy and explaining the reason for the difference. This affidavit should be notarized by a legal authority.
  2. Supporting Documents: Gather any additional documents that can corroborate your claim, such as a family register or other official documents.
  3. Contact the Counseling Authority: Reach out to the counseling authority and explain the situation. Provide them with the affidavit and supporting documents.
  4. Be Prepared for Verification: Be ready to present these documents during the document verification process.

It's important to address this issue proactively and provide clear documentation to avoid any potential problems during the counseling process.

Additional Tips:

  • Check for Errors: Double-check all your documents to ensure there are no other discrepancies.
  • Consult with an Expert: If you're unsure about the best course of action, consult with a legal expert or education counselor.
  • Stay Calm and Organized: Approach the situation calmly and systematically.

By following these steps and addressing the discrepancy with appropriate documentation, you should be able to resolve the issue and proceed with the counseling process smoothly.

Hello there! I understand your concern about the surname discrepancy between your board result and your mother's documents.

This is actually a common situation that many students face during the counselling process. While it can cause some initial complications, there are established ways to handle it.

Here's what you need to know:

1. Document Requirements:

- You'll need to bring an affidavit stating that both names refer to the same person

- The affidavit should be notarized on a non-judicial stamp paper

- It should clearly mention both versions of the name and explain the relationship

2. Additional Supporting Documents:

- Gather any official documents that show both surnames (if available)

- Marriage certificate (if the name change is due to marriage)

- Any gazette notification if there was an official name change

3. Important Steps:

- Get the affidavit prepared well before the counselling date

- Keep multiple copies of all documents

- Consider getting a name correction in your board documents if time permits

4. During Counselling:

- Inform the counselling authority about this situation at the start

- Present your affidavit along with other documents

- Be prepared to explain the reason for the difference

The key is to address this proactively rather than waiting until the last moment. Most counselling authorities are familiar with such cases and have procedures in place to handle them.

Would you like me to provide more specific information about preparing the affidavit or handling the documentation process? Also, feel free to check our website for detailed guides on document verification during counselling.

Remember, while this situation needs attention, it's usually resolvable with the right documentation and approach. Don't let it cause undue stress!

No, it won't cause a problem for you. Candidates name should be same . They check your name in all documents and your marksheet.

Mistake in parents name won't cause a big problem. But in case any suspect arise ,to be on safe side , you get an affidavit for this and meanwhile do the final correction from the boards.
