Hello,

No, if you have spelling mistake in your OBC certificate then it is not valid in your reservation in JEE your name should exactly same for your all documents.

but you can change your spelling in your certificate easily

1. first, visit the office/authority which issued your current caste certificate.
2. ask for caste correction application form. Fill the form.
3. Attach required documents or valid id proofs as to correct the spelling of your name in the certificate .
4. Also submit your previous caste certificate along with the form.
5. Your caste shall be corrected upon verification of the documents and a new certificate shall be issued.
Advise:- Keep a copy of old certificate handy till such a time new certificate is issued.
For help with Application and documentation, contact undersigned.

hope this will help.

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to you above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that if your OBC certificate has wrong speeling name of your surname, then you can do two things :

1. correct your name and surname or other credentials when the correction window opens for the correction of the registration. For that keep yourself updated on the official website of exam and correct it as soon as the window opens.

2. If you can't correct your name at the time of correction window, then you have no other option and you have to mention that same name in the examination paper as written in the registration form, otherwise your admission shall stand cancel and you might not be able to give exam. So, mention that same name as written on the registration form.

I hope that this will help.

Hello,

OBC caste certificate is an important document while taking admission through reservation category. So, if your caste certificate has mistakes in it, it won't be acceptable by the concerned Institute giving you admissions and they might reject your application and terminate your admission. So, if you've time to get admission, please apply for a new caste certificate with correct informations and if you don't have time, you can give an undertaking in the college regarding the same and ask them for the possible solutions for your problem. You can contact the College and share your concern with them. You can ask for sometime to submit the document with correct spellings.

Thank you

Hope it helps!
