There is careteria for students should have cross the cutoff marks in 12th for JEE MAINS.

Students should have more than or equal to 75% in their 12th marks or he/she under top 20 percentile in their board result.

In jharkhand and Bihar students if he/she obtained +63% then they will be in top 20 percentile so different state have their own percentage barrier . It depends on the strength of students.
