With your rank, you have a fair chance of getting a mid tier NIT such as NIT Agartala, NIT Goa, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Durgapur etc. Computer Science is harder to get a seat into, but you have a chance in courses like Civil Engineering, Electronics and communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering and Biotechnology.

As per previous year records you may get Average to lower NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Silchar, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Srinagar,  etc. or may get GFTIs.

You must look for your home state NIT. You may get a seat there through home state quota.
