Hi there!

16397 is a very good CRL rank in JEE Mains and can really fetch you a very good choices even in NITs with the branches which the candidate prefers. I would suggest the following Engineering branches if you want admission in the top NITs:

Civil Engineering

Metallurgy Engineering

Biotechnology

B.Tech Planning

You can also get C.S. branch in NIT Goa, and Mechanical Engineering in NITs which are not best but are good.

See the rank u have scored is good enough for u to grab a seat in the good NITs but for getting seats in the top NITs in best branches might be difficult to pursue ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under the btech courses. I m providing u a link for ur help.
