You have not specified which exam have you appeared and in and which exam rank is this . UPSEE or IIT JEE.  If you are talking about UPSEE and your community is OSGE , then with your rank of 3099, it can be difficult to get IT in AKG college. You might be able to make it by spot round but before that it is quite difficult.  So I would suggest you wait or look for some other college.
