Can you please mention the exam and the college?

I am very happy that you asked this question so early. Since no college has started any of their counselling yet.
You can get automobile engineering. However I would suggest you to keep looking for more college with this branch.
One important thing that I want to give you a face-to-face off with current situation of automobile engineering in India.
As this is new branch and very college provide education in this branch. The prosperity of this branch is very high. However currently, the job opportunity in this field is very less unless you do M.tech afterwards.
And currently no PSU is giving job opportunity to automobile engineering. They only require mechanical engineers.
So I would suggest you to give a second thought to it. However job opportunity of this branch in foreign are more.such as Germany, Japan,US and Canada.
Hope you will find a decent college and have a great future ahead.
