If all the marks are tied up then a person'sage will be taken into consideration for giving the rank. Older the person, better the rank will be.

This order will be followed to give the integrated rank. There are easily more than 20 engineering streams that appeared in ECET. Considering all those total marks yourintegrated rank will be allotted.

And the main purpose of giving the integrated rank is to make an easy process for certificate verification and counseling.Because for other competitive exams it will be said that for 1–3000 ranks the counseling will be on this day and for 3001–5000 ranks the counseling will be on the next day and so on. But for ECET with more than 20 engineering streams it will be clumsy because a same rank will be appearing for different persons of different engineering streams. So based on your integrated rank you are called for counseling. And admission will be given on your actual branch rank. So no need to worry about your integrated rank. It won't make you to feel less.

That's the importance of giving you an integrated rank.

Branch rank is for the comparison among different persons who belong to same branch according to their performance.

But

Integrated rank is for the comparison between two persons who belong to different engineering streams.
