Hello,

Getting admission in a good engineering college with 44% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) can be difficult, as most colleges ask for at least 45% or 50% in PCM for general category students.

But still, he may get admission in some private or lesser-known colleges, especially if they have management quota seats. Some state-level or private universities may also have lower cut-off marks.

You can check the eligibility rules of colleges in your state or nearby areas. Also, if he belongs to any reserved category (like SC/ST), the minimum marks required might be lower.

If possible, he can also try diploma to degree (lateral entry) route or improve marks through re-exam or improvement exam.

Hope it helps !
