Dear Kanai, Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling. The 85% State Government seats and Privaye Medical College seats are filled in by respective State Counselling Authorities. Now except for Karnataka, no other State is an Open State which means your son cannot apply for Private Medical Colleges of other sests. You havent mentioned your State and Category. Your son may have to participate only in your State Counselling for seat in Private Medical Colleges. There might be a chance for Deemed University through All India Counselling with this rank if your son belongs to SC/ST Categories in Mop up round.

hey dear ,seeing this year's cutoff which went very high that even the students getting 500 were confused about their college.So,it is obvious he wont get any goverment college with this rank,but have chances for private medical colleges.Yes he may get deemed universities through management quota or donation.
