Your sons rank is a little low to be honest. I would suggest you to look up BACK UP colleges for him as it is a little tough for the IHMS to absorb him

Also there is a college predictor which he can use to find out the colleges accepting his score

dont feel disheartened there are several colleges which he can apply to besides the IHM
