Placement depends upon following factors-
1. Your personal Skills
2.Anlytical skill
3. Communication Skills
4. Your performance in Engineering
5.Colleges.
6.That sector demand

So you can't get placement simply be selecting college. You have to work hard for it. Lots of candidate from average rated college get placed every year in top MNCs because of their skills.
Second thing, Your rank is not good enough to get admission in any top college. You can get average rated college with this rank.
