When it comes to CAT exam preparation or books, the most puzzling questions are how tobeginand whichbooks must be preferred. I meet hundreds of aspirants every year who is a hard worker and are honoured inborn intelligence by God, but not able to crack CAT exam. When I discussed with them I found the real problem, they are facing is that they do not know how to and from which books they start the study and practice.

Well, friend one thing which i can advice you that there is very less time before cat exam for you to prepare.So firstly you have to understand that what you want from CAT. What you want means which college you are targeting, what percentile do you need for that and what is the exam pattern of CAT. Also you can give a mock test without any preparation so that you can know that where you stand right now.
Now there are three sections in CAT exam. VARC, DILR  AND QUANT, as you may know also.
In this little span of time i dont think it would be much benedicial if you follow the books like arun sharma.These books are very good but completing them in this little time would be difficult.
Better you would go for mock tests, analyse them and know in which topics you are lacking and then prepare for them.
Remember when time is less and you are ready to crack exam, then this less time can give you more as you will be more concentrated in this span of time.

There are many good books available for CAT preparation.Some of the books used for CAT preparation are as follows-

*How to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma
*How to prepare for Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Arun Sharma or Pearson's Nishit K Sinha
*Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
*Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for CAT by Arun Sharma.

Also,keep appearing for mocks and keep solving practice papers.Also,develop the habit of reading newspapers.
