It deals with techniques and knowledge involved in navigating the ship from one place to another safely. This study involves combination of both theory and practical training. The eligibility criteria for getting into this program is

a. The candidate should be of age ranging from 17 years to 25 years at the commencement of the program.

b. The eyesight of the candidate should be a 6/6.

c. The candidate should not suffer from night blindness.

d. The candidate should not suffer from color blindness.

e. The candidate should be physically fit to carry out the operations at the sea efficiently.
