NDA stands for national Defense academy only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA examination. Girls are not allowed for the NDA entrance examination. If you are a girl and you are interested in joining defense, then you can successfully do so by giving and qualifying the Combined Defense Service(CDS)-Officers Training Academy exams. Women officers are inducted in the Indian Army through Short Service Commission scheme. The candidate is required to appear for the CDS examination conducted by UPSC.
