Yes, You have to pay an amount of around 50000 rupees at the time of joining for first semester. You have to pay for exam fees, daily uniform, incidental expenditure, army group insurance fund  other daily expenses etc.

Total money to be paid in 3 years will be around 90000 - 100000 rupees and this will include your uniform charges, equipments you need, your daily expenses etc.

The rest   will be paid and taken care of  by Ministry of Defence, since the day you Join National Defence Academy.
