The NMMS (National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship) 2025-2026 is for Class 9 students from economically weaker sections. To apply, your family income must be under Rs. 3.5 lakh per year, and you should be studying in a government or aided school. You need to clear an exam (MAT and SAT) usually held in Class 8, with good marks. Selected students receive Rs. 12,000 yearly until Class 12 if they maintain good academic performance. Applications generally open on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) in July-August 2025.
