The syllabus are

- Mental Ability Test (MAT)

- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

- Science

- Social Science

The NMMS exam is mostly  based mainly on the Class 7 and Class 8 NCERT syllabus. The paper is divided into two sections: first section is mental ability test in which topics like reasoning,series and patterns,Analogy , Classification ,Coding-Decoding ,Hidden Figures ,Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning.

The second part is Scholastic aptitute test in which topics like  algebra, data handling, linear equations, rational numbers, some questions from physics, chemistry, and biology  and some questions from geography, history, and civics from NCERT textbooks come.
