The Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) administered the NMMS (National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship) test for the 2025–2026 school year.  Class 8 students take the test in order to find and develop gifted children and give them financial aid.  The Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) are the two exams that make up the test.
