Both the courses you have mentioned have wide range of opportunities and scopes. But any day I will suggest you to prefer core CSE over CSE with specialization in artificial intelligence unless you have sheer interest in automation technology and robotics.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. It has grown tremendously as a sector in recent years and there is a high demand for such professionals.

Choosing core CSE has a benifit that you are not bounded to a particular specialization and have option to elect one or more as per your interests and the demand in society.
