Now i am studying in class 12th. If i want to be a software engineer, what should I do?

In order to become a software engineer you can go for B.tech programme and take CSE Or IT branch. The entrance exam you can appear JEE Main Entrance Exam ( National Level Exam) the other exams BITSAT, SRM, VIT, Amrita and Manipal & your state level exam etc.
