Here are simple problems on straight-line motion (kinematics):

  1. Distance: A car travels at a steady speed of 60 km/h for 2 hours. How far does it go?

    • Answer: 120 km

  2. Acceleration: A scooter starts from rest and speeds up at 2 m/s2 for 5 seconds. What's its final speed and how far did it travel?

    • Answer: Final speed: 10 m/s, Distance: 25 m

  3. Braking: A car moving at 20 m/s brakes, slowing down by 4 m/s2. How long and how far does it take to stop?

    • Answer: Time: 5 s, Distance: 50 m
