yes Pan Card as well as Aadhar card vey much needed while opening bank account.

Here Is the list of Various other required documents while opening bank account.

• A duly filled in application form.
• Passport of the applicant.
• Recent passport size photographs.

And In order to open SBI savings account online you have to go on SBI Yono online portal , select between Digital Savings Account and Instant Savings Account. After selecting an account of the two, click on apply. Your Aadhaar and PAN card will be required. Then fill in your details and click on 'Submit

Hope you are doing great ! No need of pan card in creating bank account ,i have recently open my bank account, they never asked for pan card,just take your some photos ,and your aadhar card ,also take your father or other people passbook ,your sign is also required.

Just these thing are required there.
