If you are interested in securing a Job with good compensation and package, you should perhaps prefer Postgraduation over a Doctoral Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. You should prepare for the GATE Examination and pursue M.Tech from some of the higher technical institutes in India like Top IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Delhi, IISC Bangalore as well as Top State Technical Institutes like JNTUK, Anna University or DTU.

Incase your interest lies in a career of research or academics, you should pursue a Doctoral Degree. CSE overall is a branch with excellent career scope and prospects, it is ultimately your decision which direction you choose.
