Hi let me tell you that photography course as a degree given only at one institute as far as I know and it is SSP SYMBIOSIS SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY. 

since I have talked to the students there even they have said that it is the only institute which provides degree in photography.

So let me tell you about ssp pune 

It is a 3 years undergraduate course which offers degree in BA(VISUAL ARTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY) 

It is a full time course. 

It has excellent faculty 

It offers you live projects with a focus on all round development 

It also has state of art 5 studios with an advance equipments.

Admission procedure 

You should have passed 12 th from a recognised board. 

In order to apply to the institute you have to apply online by registering to in its official page. 

Areas of specialization of the projects are - 

Project A - professional social documentation /fine arts/commercial industry photo3

Project B-commercial people/architecture /fashion and glamour 

Project C-automobile /videography /food photography 

So you can choose any specialization based on your intrest. 

During the course you are given opportunity to travel to several places and takes photos. 

There are no placements provided here. You may have to search on your own, so make sure you make good portfolios of photos which can be used when you pass out of the college. 

You while be called for interview based on your profile. If you have keen interest you will be called for interview at the ssp pune campus. Once you clear the interview and your name appears in the merit list you are good to join the course. 

If you are looking for just some photography class without any degree than it's not there in coimbatore.
