The average salary for civil engineers from top 6 IITs would be around 6-8 lakhs a year.
Where as from other IITs and NITs and some other best colleges of India it would be around 4-6 lakhs a year

Yes it goes on increasing but most of the IIT students quit there job and prepare for IES,IAS and GATE or persue higher education from foreign University
